Members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, including the exceptional first-chair solo players (all instruments), have formed the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Chamber Soloists, (RCOCS). The entire gamut of chamber music, in all possible combinations, is presented by these extraordinary musicians for performance wherever in the world there is a thirst for musical excellence. Emphasis is on creative programming, combining the classics of the repertoire with a broad investigation of less frequently performed masterpieces from the eighteenth century up to, and including, the present. Where possible, an educational function (in the form of master classes and/or demonstrations) is offered. An annual summer season, to be held in a prominent Tuscan town, is also being planned.
